Tennessee Roadway Departure Crashes-A Daily Occurrence

Drove Off Of The Road

Drove Off Of The Road

It’s the same story, different verse. “He ran off the right side of the road, tried to correct and lost control” This more then ever, repeated line highlights what has become an epidemic in Tennessee in 2010. As part of my effort to keep my readers on top of the issues surrounding Tennessee motor vehicle accidents and some solutions that are being attempted, regularly review newspapers and websites from across the state. Since the beginning of the year it appears to me that Tennesseans are dying  at an alarming rate from what are known as roadway departure fatalities.

This morning I blogged about two men in Nashville who were killed when the driver left the road and overcorrected and today a Johnson City man who, fortunately, ended up alive after doing the exact same thing. The cause of his distraction is unknown at this time. Did he fall asleep at the wheel, get distracted by one or more electronic device, have too much to drink or have a medical emergency, we’ll have to wait for the investigation to be completed to find out the answer to that question.

Please don’t drive when you are drinking, sleepy, not feeling well, and especially don’t play around with your cell phone, GPS, radio, iPod or anything that takes your eyes and your mind off of the task at hand, driving a three thousand pound deadly weapon on the highways and byways of Tennessee.

If you or a loved one is injured or killed in a Tennessee automobile accident caused by a drinking, sleepy, distracted driver, contact the experienced Tennessee automobile accident lawyers at Phillip Miller & Associates and find out the answers to all of your questions in one, free consultation.
