Man Killed When Speeding Car Slams Into His Home

Man Killed In Car House Wreck
The Chattanooga Times-Free Press reported on a tragedy of incredible sadness this past week. George Michael Bryant had turned 60-years-of-age and was celebrating this special day at home in Douglasville, Georgia with his family when a speeding driver lost control of his Navigator SUV, knocked over mailboxes and shrubs and crashed into the Bryant home killing the birthday celebrant and seriously injuring his wife, his 9-year-old grandson and two other family members. The SUV was going so fast and hit with such impact that it drove nearly through the house to the back wall. The authorities were continuing there investigation and had no word on the cause of the vehicle losing control.
As an experienced Tennessee automobile accident attorney so many ideas come to my mind when I read an article like this. Did the driver suffer a medical emergency, was the driver distracted by a cell phone or other object, was the driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol, just what could have caused such an accident? It had to one or the other of these impairing factors it would be hard to believe that the driver simply decided to driver head long into a strangers house. I’m going to keep an eye out for the results of the investigation and get back to you with the results. Cases like these are hard to get out of your mind.
